Bruce Callaghan
Bruce is the principal of Bruce Callaghan & Associates, a Management
Consultancy specialising in corporate strategy, business planning, training
and organisational change. He has worked closely with Aboriginal
organisations and communities for the past 14 years in delivering capacity
building services and training courses. Bruce developed and successfully
trained Aboriginal public servants in Governance under the Management
and Development Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (MDPA).
BCA has contributed to strategic planning and training in most government
Departments and Bruce is familiar with the current demands on managers
in Aboriginal organisations. In 2001 BCA completed a national
training program for ATSIC focused on quality management and governance
in ATSILS. Bruce will be overseeing the delivery of the project,
including quality control.
Mette
Kirk
Mette is an Associate with extensive experience in strategic management
and community consultation. Until recently, she was employed with the
NSW Aboriginal Land Council at their head office in Parramatta. Because
of this Mette has a good understanding of Aboriginal organisations and
issues affecting current Aboriginal communities in Australia and is
currently delivering a consultancy with Nari Nari Tribal Council on
a Conservation Management Plan for the area. She has worked closely
with Aboriginal institutions in recent years. Her educational background
is in Social Science, specialising in International Development, and
Business Administration and she has international experience in community
development.
Neva
Collings
Neva is an Associate, and Aboriginal consultant with a formal educational
background in law and economics (Ba). She has extensive and in-depth
experience in working with Aboriginal organisations nationally and internationally.
She was recently employed at the Office of the Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner (HREOC) and has also held
the position as International Projects Officer at the Foundation for
Aboriginal and Islander Research Action (FAIRA) based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Most recently she has worked with the Judicial Committee on developing
a training program for Judges on Aboriginal legal and culturally appropriate
processes.
Geoff Simpson
Geoff is an Aboriginal consultant. He has recently been involved
in Catchment Planning in NSW where he has led consultation with most
Aboriginal communities in the state. He is an expert facilitator
and a skilled policy worker in indigenous affairs. He has formerly
been employed in the NSW Juvenile Justice system where he was a program
manager responsible for supervision and training issues with Aboriginal
young people.
